Our mission

We help people see the world

Working Holiday Work places young travellers in jobs across Japan, and looks after them from the first message to long after they land. This is why we do it.

Our mission

Borders are just lines on a map. We help people cross them, to live and work in Japan, take in a new culture, and go home seeing the world a little differently.

Every application is a person about to change their life. We treat every one that way.

Our values

Four things we won’t compromise on

01

Connecting borders

Young people from 32 countries can work in Japan on a working holiday. We help them get there, and help them feel at home once they do.

02

Care for every person

One application is one person, and one life about to change. We read every one ourselves and get to know you on a real call.

03

Honest, always

We tell you straight what’s possible, what the job is really like and what it pays. No job, no fee: you only pay once you accept a placement.

04

With you after you land

Your first day, your first payday, the first time you feel homesick. We’re a message away for the whole season.

Why we started

We’ve stood where you are

Borders are just lines on a map. We help people cross them: to live and work in Japan, take in a new culture, and go home seeing the world a little differently.

Every one of us has packed a bag, landed somewhere new and tried to work out where to start. Finding the job was the hard part, and nobody was there to help with it. So we built the thing we wished we’d had.

We’ve all done a working holiday ourselves. Watching someone else find their place on the other side of the world is the best part of our job. It’s all we work for.

Our goals

What we’re working towards

We’re a small team with big plans, and every one of them comes back to the same thing: more people seeing more of the world.

  1. A working holiday for anyone who wants one

Make the first step simple, honest and affordable, so it isn’t only people with contacts in Japan who get to go.

  2. More of Japan

Niseko is open now. Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Hakuba and Okinawa are next, so you can pick snow, city or island.

  3. Work you’d be proud of

Only roles we’d happily do ourselves, with employers we know, so your season is a good story and not a warning.

  4. Good for Japan too

Reliable, well-prepared staff for local businesses, and travellers who leave as lifelong friends of the place.
